Staff-Party from Pier One

It seems like that I am always late in posting my new experiences. However, the earthquake in Taiwan on Boxing Day is still a main reason for the lack of a sustainable internet connection. I hope that they will fix this problem soon. A few weeks ago, we had our staff party in a Chinese restaurant. It was a new experience, especially due to the behavior of many employees and the trash our staff caused. They all drank so many bottles of beer and left the place really dirty. It is unbelievable for me, but it seems like reality for them. Hence, they all like to drink with you, but in a different way. Once you drink with them and say "Cheers" for example, you have to finish the whole glass. For Chinese people, it is a way of becoming their friend. However, you have to do it more than once and the Chinese beer does not really taste very well.

Seit dem Erdbeben in Taiwan ist das Internet immer noch sehr langsam und funktioniert kaum. Ich hoffe, dass Sie es bald in den Griff bekommen, denn langsam ist es echt nervig. Vor ein paar Wochen hatten wir unsere Angestelltenparty in einem China-Restaurant. Es war wirklich sehenswert. Nachdem ich das Restaurant verlassen hatte, sah es aus wie auf einem Schlachtfeld. Ich habe bisher so etwas noch nie gesehen. Als Neuling musste ich natuerlich auch auf Freundschaft trinken, d.h. jedes Mal wenn man miteinander trinkt, muss man das Glas komplett austrinken. Mit anderen Worten hat man schnell einen im Tee und vor allem ist das chinesische Bier nicht gerade geniessbar. Eine sehr interessante Art um eine Party zu feiern.
